Carmen helped create the concepts for financial and general news shows. She supervised producers and reporters to create sharper, stronger news stories and programs.
During her five-year PBS tenure, she earned two Emmy nominations. At Bloomberg Carmen repeatedly led teams through breaking news, securing A-list guests while producing shows that created value for audiences and the network.
As Senior Producer and Line Producer, Carmen identified the news for the day and how to cover it. She created show concepts; oversaw reporter and associate producer contributions, writing, graphics and video; then blended it for a fast-paced, informative show. Carmen line produced for various programs for PBS and Bloomberg TV, Radio. At Reuters and the NASDAQ she produced daily news and insightful interviews with leaders from the world's leading corporations.
Among her many duties as News Director for two stations, Carmen managed news rooms and staffs, created concepts and brands, and coached reporters and producers to create attention-grabbing programming.
